ATTY. JEDREK C. NG

Assistant City Prosecutor, City of Manila

Atty. Jedrek Ng is currently an Assistant City Prosecutor in the City of Manila. He was formerly the Director for Investigation, Enforcement and Litigation Office of the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA). He was previously a Senior Associate at Divina Law and a legal consultant for UNICEF Philippines. Atty. Ng was appointed as Assistant City Prosecutor in the City of Manila on March 16, 2010. On November 2010, he was fully-detailed at the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT), Department of Justice (DOJ). Prior to joining the DOJ, Atty. Ng served as an Associate Solicitor with the Office of the Solicitor General in 2004 and as a special counsel for intervention for International Justice Mission, an international human rights NGO which prosecutes child trafficking and child abuse cases.

He took part in several training seminars both here and abroad, notably the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) for Trafficking in Persons of the United States Department of State held in Washington DC, Miami and Denver, U.S.A on March 2012.

Atty. Ng completed his LLM on International Comparative Laws at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2016. He received his Bachelor of Arts Major in Behavioral Science, in 1997, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Santo Tomas in 2002.

He is presently a Special lecturer in Polytechnic University of the Philippines College of Law, Arellano University School of Law, Far Eastern University Institute of Law, Lyceum of the Philippines University College of Law, University of Santo Tomas Graduate School of Law and University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Civil Law, teaching various law subjects such as Human Rights Law, Public International Law, Criminal Law, Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure and Human Trafficking Law.

He is an author of a textbook entitled Philippine Laws and Jurisprudence on Anti-Human Trafficking published by Centralbooks (www.central.ph).
